Celebrating Our First Graduating Class of the Support Services Career Ladder Program

On Friday, April 11, 2025, we proudly celebrated the achievements of the first graduating cohort of our Support Services Career Ladder Program. These dedicated team members successfully passed their certification exams, marking a significant milestone in their professional growth. This program is designed to empower team members in Food and Nutrition, Environmental Services (EVS), and Patient Transport, providing them with the knowledge and skills to advance in their careers while ensuring the highest standards in patient care and service.

Program Accomplishments:

  • Food and Nutrition: 14 team members earned their ServSafe certification, ensuring expertise in food safety, hygiene, and sanitation.
  • Environmental Services: 15 team members obtained their Certified Health Care Environmental Technicians (CHEST) certification, covering essential training in infection prevention, waste handling, and facility care.
  • Patient Transport: Eight team members are now Certified Healthcare Transporters (CHT) through the National Association of Healthcare Transport Management (NAHTM).

This program provides valuable opportunities for education and professional growth, equipping our extraordinary team with the skills needed to advance in their careers. When our team members proudly wear their certification badges, ,  patients and visitors can recognize their expertise, fostering meaningful dialogue and engagement. This initiative underscores Cooper’s commitment to supporting all departments through continuous education and development.
