To our Cooper team members who celebrate tomorrow, we would like to wish you a Happy Diwali – the Hindu festival symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.
What You Should Know This Week:
- Yesterday was Election Day in New Jersey with Governor Murphy and all members of the State Senate and Assembly up for reelection. The election is surprisingly close, and as of this time, there is still no declared winner in the Governor’s race. Though very tight, the current totals indicate that Governor Murphy is likely to secure a second term. The Democrats have retained control of the Assembly. In the State Senate, though a number of races are still undecided, Democrats are likely to retain control.
- COVID-19 Booster Shots. Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J boosters are available in the Kelemen Circle tent (Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.), ambulatory offices, Camden County College – Blackwood Campus (Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.), and retail locations. To schedule your booster shot, visit myCooper.
- Cooper’s 2021 Flu Vaccination Program is up and running. Please review the information here to ensure you are compliant. Click here for the schedule. Flu shots are not being offered in the Kelemen tent or booster pop-up clinics, which are exclusively for COVID-19 vaccines.

- Topic of the Week – Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccines: Yesterday, the CDC recommended that children five years of age and older get an age-appropriate dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. The vaccine will be available starting tomorrow for children at our four Cooper pediatric offices (Camden – starting next week, Bunker Hill, Moorestown, Voorhees, and Burlington) and the Camden County College Blackwood Campus Site. Next week, the vaccine will also be available at a number of our family medicine offices. Team members (and residents) who wish to have a child vaccinated may schedule an appointment through myCooper.
