Dear Cooper Team:
In yet another sign that the COVID-19 pandemic is moving to a less disruptive phase, Governor Phil Murphy yesterday afternoon signed an executive order lifting COVID-19 testing requirements for health care workers who are not up to date on their COVID-19 vaccinations. The Order is effective immediately.
Accordingly, Cooper team members who were testing weekly with home COVID-19 tests are no longer required to test and record their results. Home tests will no longer be sent to those team members.
Please note that employees of hospitals still must “provide adequate proof that they are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations,” or have an exemption, under a separate Executive Order.
The Governor’s lifting of testing requirements follows the latest recommendations from the CDC and is also based upon the high rate of COVID-19 vaccination in New Jersey and the availability of effective treatments.

Thank you.
