On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the Fall 2023 Nurse Residency cohort held their graduation. Forty-two registered nurses successfully completed the two-year program. Kathy Devine, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive, extended her greetings and congratulations to the graduates before nursing leaders distributed certificates of completion. The graduates fill nursing positions throughout Cooper University Hospital in Camden.
Cooper’s Nurse Residency Program supports new-to-practice registered nurses during their first two years of clinical practice. It helps them build resilience, encourages curiosity, and empowers them to be strong patient advocates. The program also integrates a multitude of learning methods and venues including in-person classes, simulation labs and scenarios, hands-on skills, computer-based learning, and self-study.
Congratulations to our nurse graduates!
