Co-CEO Update – October 20, 2022

What You Should Know This Week:  

  • Cooper received the American Medical Association’s Joy in Medicine Health System Recognition for our Psychiatry and Behavioral Health experts’ work in preserving the well-being of our team members and combating work-related stress and burnout. For more information, click here.
  • This week is National Pharmacy Week. We thank our pharmacy experts for their commitment to our patients, and for providing our patients with the highest standard of pharmaceutical care. To read more about our pharmacy team, click here.
  • This week is also International Infection Prevention Week.  We thank our infection prevention experts for the crucial role they played in keeping our team members healthy and safe during the pandemic, the monkeypox response, and for all they do every day for the community.   • Yesterday was National Medical Assistants Day. We thank our medical assistants for the important role they play in helping provide the highest level of care to patients and families here at Cooper.
  • This Friday, October 21, is GO PINK day. All team members are encouraged to join MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper by wearing pink to show their support and raise awareness about breast cancer screening. To learn more, click here.

Reminders:

  • Epic upgrade is almost here. On Sunday, October 23, 2022, Epic will be upgraded to the February 2022 version. The update includes some routine fixes and a few exciting improvements. For more information, click here.
  • Last week to nominate. Friday, October 21, is the last day to nominate a team member for the 2022 Armed Forces Person of the Year. To nominate a team member, or for more information, click here.
  • Post your pumpkins on Pulse+. The deadline for submitting a pumpkin for this year’s Give Them Pumpkin to Talk About contest is this Friday, October 21. This year’s theme is music. For details, click here or visit Pulse+.
  • The 2022 Flu Vaccination Program will continue until Wednesday, December 7, 2022. The flu shot clinic schedule is here. You can receive a COVID-19 booster shot at any of the flu shot clinic locations – no appointment is necessary. Click here for more information and for exemption information.
  • Check the food truck schedule on the Pulse homepage under Team Member Resources. A current schedule is always available in this location.

COVID Updates:

  • Yesterday, New Jersey reported another 1,249 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 10 confirmed deaths. For more information, click here.
