What You Should Know This Week:     

  • Cooper Cardiologist Teams Up With Former NFL Star. On Thursday, May 22, Anupam A. Kumar, MD, MS, a cardiologist with Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care, joined Camden native Art Still, former University of Kentucky All-American and NFL All-Pro, in an amyloidosis awareness event at the Kroc Center.   • Pamela Kauffman Nursing Education Fund. The Cooper Foundation in partnership with the Center for Trauma Surgery established a new fund in memory of Pamela Kauffman, a former trauma nurse. The Fund will assist future nursing students who are in pursuit of nursing excellence and embody outstanding qualities as Pam did throughout her long career at Cooper. Click here to donate.
  • South Jersey Health Collaborative Community Forum. Cooper will host a forum alongside health departments from Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties to present key findings from the 2025 Community Health Assessment on June 18, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at the Cooper University Hospital Conference Center.   • AI @ Cooper – Technology Tip of the Week. Did you know you can streamline workflows, improve your writing, enhance patient care, and optimize efficiency using AI with Microsoft Copilot, accessible through Cooper’s M365 suite? Whether it’s drafting clinical notes, summarizing research, automating documentation, or generating insights from complex data, Copilot can help you to be more efficient and effective. Remember, however, AI can make mistakes, so you still need to verify and check its output before using it – it’s your co-pilot.  We encourage you to explore the capabilities of Copilot Chat and discover how you can use it in your day-to-day work.   • Schwartz Rounds: The Human Side of Organ Donation Decision-Making. Join us at the next Schwartz Rounds on Tuesday June 3, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m., at Cooper University Hospital, Conference Center, Room 121. Click here for more information.
  • 2025 APP Wellness Walk. AP Council Peer Connection is inviting all Cooper APPs, friends, families, and four-legged friends to join in a wellness walk on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at Cooper River Park. For more information, click here.
  • Join the 2025 Engagement Fair. Team members at some of our ambulatory locations are invited to discover the many initiatives and resources available across Cooper and take part in giveaways and interactive activities. For details, click here.
