Dear Cooper Team:
We hope everyone is doing well and having a safe and healthy week. We appreciate your unwavering dedication to our patients, community, and one another.
What You Should Know This Week:
- Celebrating Juneteenth Tomorrow. Juneteenth is observed annually on June 19 to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. There will be a special Juneteenth lunch menu in the cafeterias at both hospitals tomorrow. Cooper is also proud to sponsor Juneteenth community events in Cherry Hill and Glassboro later this month. - Falasca Family Donation Honored at Moorestown Campus. Cooper and The Cooper Foundation proudly announced the naming of a premier space at Cooper’s Moorestown Campus in honor of Daniel and Lisa Falasca. Their recent philanthropic investment represents a powerful commitment to the future of health care in South Jersey. Click here to read more.
- Another “A+” Credit Rating. Cooper was awarded an A+ credit rating by S&P Global Ratings. Strong credit ratings are important because they represent a third-party validation of Cooper’s business strategies and successful execution. They also allow us to borrow money, if necessary, at a lower cost. Cooper, however, maintains low debt levels. In fact, low debt is one of the reasons for our upgraded credit rating as well as our focus “on sustaining financial performance through cost containment, revenue enhancement, accountability, and group purchasing programs.” Thank you for your hard work because this achievement reflects your extraordinary dedication and commitment to Cooper’s Mission. - Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care Launches Cardiac Stress PET Scans. Using positron emission tomography (PET) technology, these scans provide higher-resolution images than traditional stress tests, enabling physicians to detect subtle abnormalities and assess heart function with greater accuracy. - Health Care Risk Management Week. This week, we are highlighting the critical role that risk managers play across the health care enterprise in promoting a safe environment for our patients, their families, and our team members. To read more, click here.
- Chapel Rededication and Ribbon Cutting. On June 10, the Margaret L. Isaacs Chapel, a beloved sanctuary of reflection, healing, and hope, reopened at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. The chapel was relocated to the Roberts Pavilion lobby to make it more accessible to patients, families, and team members. For more information, click here.
