  • Cooper Recognized Among Top Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Cooper University Hospital has once again earned national recognition, ranking #7 in both New Jersey and the Philadelphia metro area in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 “Best Hospitals” survey—up from #11 in the Philadelphia Metro area last year. Cooper remains the highest ranked hospital in South Jersey. Cooper also earned national high-performing ratings in 14 specialties and conditions.   • Camden Street Renamed in Honor of Beloved Cooper Team Member. In a meaningful tribute, Camden Mayor Victor G. Carstarphen and Councilman Angel Fuentes officially renamed a city street Josefina Rosa Way, honoring Cooper team member Josefina “Josie” Rosa. This renaming serves as a lasting symbol of Josie’s kindness, resilience, and years of dedicated service to both Cooper and the Camden community. Click here to read more.

After participating in Cooper’s Center for Healing Steps to Change program, Lonnie Garrett turned his life around—helping others while pursuing his own path to stability. His initiative led him to join Cooper’s Environmental Services team, where his hard work and positive presence quickly earned him Team Member of the Month recognition.   • EMT Training Program for Cooper Team Members. Cooper, in partnership with Camden County College and Impact Charity Services, Inc., is offering a fully sponsored EMT training program for six eligible team members. The 13-week program will provide comprehensive training designed to prepare participants for emergency medical technician certification and future career advancement. The application deadline is August 8, 2025.
