Happy 2025. We hope everyone is doing well and having a healthy and safe week. As we start the new year, we are grateful for your unwavering dedication to our patients, community, and one another.

What You Should Know This Week:

  • Give Us Theme Ideas. We’re looking for an imaginative, fun, and creative theme for imagery for each floor of the Sheridan Pavilion parking garage on our Camden Campus. Each floor will have its own paint color, and we need images as well for users to easily navigate the garage. Read more and submit your ideas here.
  • New Year, New Podcast Episode. In a new season of Out in the Crowd With Mazz and O’Dowd, we’re kicking things off with an incredible milestone—celebrating our three longest-serving Cooper team members, each of whom reached an incredible 50 years of service in 2024. We sat down with these Cooper legends who share their stories, insights, and the experiences over five decades. Click here to listen.
  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Food Distribution Event. Cooper is partnering with the Food Bank of South Jersey to distribute non-perishable and ready-to-eat food items to Camden County residents on Monday, January 20, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For additional information, click here.   • Changes to Pneumatic Tube System Carriers. In the coming weeks, foam inserts will be added to each carrier in the pneumatic tube system to protect specimens at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. To learn more, click here.
  • Second Annual Hackathon Registration Is Now Open. The Cooper Innovation Center is hosting its second annual Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Hackathon. This event will bring together stakeholders from across New Jersey to look at ways in which health information technologies (IT) can improve the lives of those in underserved communities.   • Cooper’s #everyBODYmoves Johns Hopkins Activity and Mobility Campaign Update. As we step into 2025, we embrace our theme, “Walking in a Winter Wonderland,” highlighting the importance of patient mobility during hospitalization.   • New Year, New Recognition Portal. Starting February 2025, Cooper Celebrations will be our new platform for recognizing colleague achievements.
