On Monday, we celebrated National Women Physician’s Day, which marks the anniversary of the birth of Elizabeth Blackwell, MD, who in 1849 was the very first woman to receive her medical degree in the United States. - Black History Month. At Cooper, we celebrate Black History Month to recognize and honor the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. Every Wednesday this month, enjoy a special lunch menu at Cooper University Hospital and Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional. - Guidance on Law Enforcement Interactions. As there has been considerable attention on immigration matters nationally, Cooper’s Chief Legal Officer sent out a reminder on Cooper’s policies related to interacting with law enforcement personnel. - Super Bowl Friday. In recognition of the Super Bowl on Sunday, you are free to wear your favorite Eagles sports team jersey this Friday, February 7, as long as it’s appropriate for your work that day. Go Birds.

- Camden Lane Closures. To ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists during Project Imagine construction, the sidewalks adjacent to Cooper’s new hospital tower, one lane of MLK Boulevard, and the shoulder of Haddon Avenue that runs along the hospital campus are currently closed to public traffic. - Attention Cooper Cape Team Members. Celebrate the tremendous Cooper Cape nursing and patient care team members by submitting your nominations for the 2025 Cooper Cape Nursing Excellence Awards by Friday, February 28, 2025. To review the full nomination packet, click here.
- New and Improved Guest Wireless Network – Camden Campus. The Cooper Camden IT team has significantly upgraded our guest wireless network, offering faster upload and download speeds with reduced latency for a smoother, more reliable experience. These enhancements will ensure that team members, patients, visitors, and guests will have a better online experience on campus.
- Pediatric Trauma Sledding Accident Video Wins Gold. Cooper was awarded Gold in the Fifth Annual Healthcare Digital Marketing Awards (HDMAwards), for its video featuring our trauma team. HDMAwards recognize excellence in health care and medical marketing. This year, entries were submitted by nearly 500 health care and medical institutions nationwide. Congratulations to the marketing and trauma teams and all who participated in this award-winning video.
- Cooper Foundation Awarded $555,000 Grant for Prenatal and Early Childhood Health Care. This generous contribution will strengthen Cooper’s support for low-income children and families by funding essential programs in health care, early learning, basic needs, and safety, from prenatal care through age three.
