- Expanded CDU Is Open. The Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) expansion located on the first floor of the Kelemen building at Cooper University Hospital in Camden is now open. The CDU expanded from 20 to 35 beds supporting increased patient volume in the Emergency Department. Click here to see photos and read more.
- Save the Date for Holiday Meals. We are pleased to bring back our holiday meal celebrations. Please plan for the date and location that works best for you. Click here for the schedule.
- New Recognition Portal Coming Soon. Beginning February 2025, we will launch a new and improved recognition platform for you to celebrate the achievements of your colleagues. The new recognition portal will replace the current Cooper Rewards Portal, which will close on December 31, 2024. For more information, click here. To suggest a name for the new portal, click here.
- Vote for Cooper’s Q2 Good Catch Winner. These events can also be referred to as a near miss, and they are often the key to identifying system and process issues before errors have a chance to harm a patient, visitor, or team member. - Post Badge Alert System Implementation Feedback. Please take a few moments to share your thoughts on how the personal alarm buttons have affected your safety. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Click here to take the survey.
- Flu Vaccination Deadline is Monday, December 9, 2024. New Jersey law mandates an annual flu vaccination for individuals who work in a hospital, nursing home, or home health care agency, with limited exemptions. Click here for the schedule. For more information, click here.
- Growing With Cooper – Jim Doyle, MSM, BA. Our “Growing With Cooper” series highlights team members who have used Cooper’s resources to develop and advance their careers. Jim Doyle started as a critical care technician and is now Director of Ambulatory Operations. - A Hair-Raising Tribute. In honor of Officer Matthew Sviben, who lost his life to colorectal cancer in 2021, the Camden County Police Department continued their No Shave November tradition by donating to The Cooper Foundation, supporting colorectal cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. - PTO Sell Back. The November 2024 paid time off (PTO) sell-back opportunity for Cooper at Camden team members is underway.
