What You Should Know This Week:    

  • Cooper CME Awarded Joint Accreditation With Commendation. We’re proud to announce that Cooper’s Department of Continuing Medical Education has achieved Joint Accreditation with Commendation—the highest honor in continuing education. This prestigious status is held by only 40 organizations nationwide. As a result, Cooper CME has earned an extended accreditation term through July 2031, two years beyond the standard.   • Cooper Camden: Temporary Plumbing Disruption August 16-17. As part of construction for Project Imagine, plumbing work will occur overnight from Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 9 p.m. through Sunday, August 17 at 7 a.m., resulting in a temporary outage on all floors of the north side of the Kelemen Pavilion. During this time, toilets, sinks, and showers will be unavailable. Thank you for your patience as we complete these essential facility upgrades. Click here for more information.
  • Cooper Account Lockouts. This week, there were several suspicious log in attempts from hundreds of unique IP addresses. Our IT security systems detected the threat and automatically locked affected team member accounts to prevent unauthorized access to Cooper systems. We are actively working on a solution to mitigate these types of attacks. In the meantime, if your account becomes locked, please reach out to the Service Desk at 856.968.7166 for assistance.
  • NEW Out in the Crowd With Mazz and O’Dowd Episode: Talkin’ Gratitude, Giving, and Good Times. We’re back with a lively chat featuring Lisa Morina, Senior Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer, and Jes Smith, MHA, BSN, RN, Major and Planned Gift Officer for the Grateful Patient Program — both from The Cooper Foundation. They dive into the Grateful Patient Program, share a peek at exciting upcoming events, and reveal how philanthropy powers Cooper’s mission. Click hereto listen.
  • SMARTworks Transition to Converge. SMARTworks online ordering will migrate to Taylor Communications’ new platform, Converge, from August 15 to 17, 2025. Please note this change if you use SMARTworks for online ordering. Click here for more details.
  • Huron Rounding 2.0 Coming Soon. On September 19, 2025, we will launch Huron Rounding 2.0, a more intuitive and user-friendly design to enhance how we connect with patients and team members. To learn more, click here.
  • Join the Narrative Medicine Workshop on August 19. The humanism in medicine event will take place at Cooper University Hospital, Conference Center, Room 103 in Camden. For more information, click here.

  • Windows 11 Upgrade. This week all Cooper computers will begin the switch to Windows 11 on a rolling schedule. No action is required on your part. The Cooper Cape team is already operating on Windows 11 and will not be affected. Click here for more information.
