- CMSRU Match Day. On Friday, March 21, 2025, fourth-year students at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) joined thousands of medical students nationwide to celebrate their residency “match.” Among them, 23 graduates matched at Cooper. - Cooper Receives Funding for Landmark Stroke Study. Tudor Jovin, MD, Medical Director of Cooper and Inspira Neuroscience and Professor of Neurology and Neurological Surgery at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, is co-leading a groundbreaking study, called DIRECT, that aims to optimize emergency stroke care and improve outcomes for thousands of thrombectomy patients nationwide. - Warren R. Heymann, MD, was recently honored with the Master Dermatologist Award by the American Academy of Dermatology at their annual meeting for his unwavering dedication to advancing the field of dermatology and improving the lives of countless patients. - LaPree Burgess, BSN, RN, CRC, CCDS, was recognized by Camden City Council during their International Women’s History Month celebration on March 26, for exceptional leadership and community outreach, including her roles on the KIPP Cooper-Norcross Academy Board, the Camden Food Drive, and as a block captain in her neighborhood. - Cooper Physician Featured in NYT. In an interview with The New York Times, Anthony Rostain, MD, MA, Chief and Chair, Department of Psychiatry at Cooper, discussed concerns about the safety, effectiveness, and potential side effects of medications used to treat ADHD, and how physicians can ensure patients receive the appropriate level of treatment for their symptoms.

Cooper is honored to be a finalist in two categories for the prestigious New Jersey Social Innovation Awards: Rachel Haroz, MD, in the Excellence in Population and Public Health category, and Cooper’s Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Program, in the Advancing Health Equity category. - April is National Donate Life Month. In 2024, Cooper proudly led all NJ Sharing Network partner hospitals, facilitating 29 legacy donations that saved an incredible 89 lives. - PATCO Night Schedule Disruption. PATCO will be temporarily stopping overnight weekday train service from midnight to 4 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for six months starting this spring. The official start date has not yet been announced. We encourage you to plan ahead.
- This Friday: Holi Celebration at Cooper Camden. The second annual celebration of the Hindu festival of Holi, also known as the Festival of Colors and Spring, will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025. For event details, click here.
