  • Tomorrow is Helping Families Thrive: Making Mental Health Care Work in Primary Care Practice. Join the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral health tomorrow, November 9, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., for the second installment in its quarterly speaker series. Learn how to incorporate pediatric mental health assessment and skillful, prompt, and compassionate mental health treatment into your practice. For more information or to register, click here.
  • There are nurses. And then there are Cooper nurses. Learn what sets Cooper nurses apart in our new Nurse Spotlight series. This week, we introduce Samantha Malsbury, RN.   • Paid time off (PTO) sell-back opportunity. If you wish to participate, you must submit your requested PTO sell-back hours through the iCooper Team Member Space between November 13 and November 27, 2023. Click here for more information.
  • Team Member Resource Groups. Three new TRGs were installed last week as part of Cooper’s DEI program – the groups include the Black, Latino, and Multicultural TRGs. To see pictures from the event, click here.
  • Please join us as we recognize the national weeks for several groups of Cooper team members:
    • National Radiologic Technology Week. Thank you to Cooper’s dedicated radiologic technologists for their invaluable contributions to patient care. To read more about our radiologic technologists, click here.
    • National Patient Transport Week. Cooper’s transport team plays a vital role in the patient experience and we thank them for their commitment to our patients.
    • National Medical Staff Services Awareness Week. Thank you to our medical services professionals for the important work they do in ensuring Cooper physicians and providers credentials and licenses are up-to-date and accurate.

Reminders:

  • Gratitude is the attitude. There are many benefits of practicing gratitude, both mental and physical. This holiday season, we are asking all Cooper team members to pause and reflect on positive things in their lives and share them with the greater Cooper community on our virtual gratitude wall. The wall is always active here.
  • Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) training program update. The training includes assault safety best practices, de-escalation strategies, protect-exit skills, and management of volatile patients and visitors. HARP sessions are offered in person every Thursday. Register through the Cooper Learning Network (CLN).  For more information, click here.
