Dear Cooper Team:

We hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend and that you are having a healthy, productive week. Thank you for all you do for our patients and each other.

What You Should Know This Week:  

  • Tomorrow is the first day of Pride Month, a celebration to commemorate years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, as well as the accomplishments of LGBTQ+ individuals.  Celebrate Pride Month with your fellow Cooper team members at a variety of local events throughout the month of June.   • Cooper has been named among Newsweek’s 2023 Best Maternity Hospitals in the U.S. Congratulations to our dedicated team members who care for patients as they grow their families. To read more about this remarkable recognition, click here.
  • On July 24, 2023, we will be transitioning to iCooper for HR, Finance and Supply Chain functions. We need to begin closing out business-related activities in the Lawson system. One of the first iCooper deadlines for Supply Chain is happening tomorrow, June 1. To read the email that was sent to managers, requesters, and approvers, click here.

  • In honor of National CPR Week, which begins tomorrow, Cooper team members are invited to learn the lifesaving skill of hands-only CPR. On Tuesday, June 6, Cooper’s Center for Resuscitation Education and Community Engagement will offer free training in the Roberts Pavilion from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To read more, click here.

  • The last day to read the daily Combating COVID-19 statistics email is today. Team members can click here for COVID-19 case statistics moving forward.
  • New State Law and Your Medical Record. As of May 18, 2023, a new law in New Jersey requires hospitals and clinical laboratories to provide patients with a specific opportunity to update their medical records to reflect current information on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Initially, Cooper patients will be able to update their medical record in myCooper as we await regulations from the New Jersey Department of Health.
