What You Should Know This Week:
- NJ Superior Court Approves Cape Regional Health System Joining Cooper. Great news. We have received the final regulatory approval required for this transaction. The next step is a closing and Cape Regional will become part of Cooper University Health Care. We expect the closing to be in July. To read the full press release, click here.
- Pride Month Kickoff Celebration. Join Cooper Pride, our LGBTQ+ Team Resource Group (TRG), to celebrate the start of Pride Month on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Cooper University Hospital lawn. - Updated Annual Tuberculin and FIT Testing Schedule. To view the updated schedule, click here. Certain team members will need annual tuberculin screening and FIT testing based on their occupational risk. Everyone else will need to complete an in-person, written risk assessment. - Personal Alarm Buttons for Team Members Are Here. These new ID badge personal alarms allow team members to call for security any time they feel threatened or unsafe in a Cooper location. For FAQs about the alarm button, click here. For the most up-to-date distribution schedule, click here. Once you get an alarm button, please refrain from testing it. Alarm buttons should only be used for true emergencies.
- NEW! Micro-Learnings on Cybersecurity. Health care systems remain major targets of cyberattacks. Cooper will be assigning regular micro-learning educational courses on cybersecurity topics to all team members. These courses will help keep Cooper safe and help you keep your personal computer systems safe as well. Some courses are already available on the CLN by typing “cybersecurity” into the search bar. - Bring Your Own APP Friend. Join us for an educational event hosted by members of the Advanced Practice Council on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. For more details, click here.
- Conference on Enhanced Care for Patients With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities – CEUs Available. Please join this dynamic and informative conference designed specifically for nurses and caregivers of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities on Friday, June 21, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cooper is becoming a leader in advancing effective and compassionate care for IDD patients.
