- Personal Alarm Buttons for Team Members Are Here. The new ID badge personal alarm buttons allow team members to call for security anytime they feel threatened or unsafe in a Cooper location. To receive your personal alarm button, you must complete a short Cooper Learning Network (CLN) assignment entitled “Cooper Safety Program – Strongline Personal Alarm.” The course will only take five minutes to complete. - Tudor Jovin, MD, is the Co-Principal Investigator in a Breakthrough International Study on Emergency Stroke Treatment. Congratulations to Dr. Jovin on this remarkable achievement, which was published in The New England Journal of Medicine. To read more about the study, click here.
- Upcoming Conference for Patients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities – CEUs Available. - Cooper Team Members Participate in Johns Hopkins Activity and Mobility Program Conference. As part of Cooper’s #everyBODYmoves initiative, an intradisciplinary team traveled to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore to participate in the 7th Annual Johns Hopkins Activity and Mobility Program conference. The goal of the conference and program is to promote patient mobility and exchange best practices with health care professionals. To read more, click here.
- National Critical Care Awareness and Recognition Month. May is National Critical Care Awareness and Recognition Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary efforts of critical care professionals. We thank our critical care team members who offer emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during some of their most vulnerable moments, even amidst the complexities of critical care.
- Bring Your Own APP Friend. Join us for an educational event hosted by members of the AP Council on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. For more details, click here..
- National Women’s Health Week is celebrated each year, beginning on Mother’s Day, to encourage women and girls to make their physical, mental, emotional, and social health a priority. This week also focuses on maternal mental health, also known as perinatal mental health, which refers to a mother’s overall emotional, social, and mental well-being, both during and after pregnancy. - When the Unexpected Happens. Join us for the next Schwartz Center Rounds on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from noon to 1 p.m. Panelists from Cooper and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University will share short pieces on the theme, “When the unexpected happens” in connection with medicine.
