Dear Cooper Team:

What You Should Know This Week:

  • Congratulations to Franziska Jovin, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Experience Officer, who was recently honored by Becker’s Hospital Review as a “health system chief experience officer to know.” Thank you, Dr. Jovin, for your work to  ensure we deliver an excellent patient experience. Reminders:

  • A construction project is currently affecting access to the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University Parking Garage. The project is expected to last through this Friday, March 31, 2023, and Benson Street will remain closed west of Broad Street. Follow signs to the garage entrance. Pedestrians can enter and exit the garage using the vehicle entrance along Benson Street.
  • Renovations to Cooper’s Pulmonary Medicine office in Voorhees began on Monday, March 20, 2023. During the renovation period, the Pulmonary office will be temporarily relocated to Cooper Specialty Center at Cherry Hill. Click here to read more.
  • Construction began at Cooper’s Cherry Hill Campus on Route 70 to update the office’s parking lot. The project is expected to be completed by April 21, 2023. During the project, team members and visitors will see signage alerting them about detours and areas where parking is restricted.

COVID Updates:

  • Inpatient visitation re-opened. We returned to pre-COVID-19 “green” visitation in all inpatient areas this week. Click here to read our updated visitation policy or visit the Pulse homepage. Ambulatory locations will end visitation restrictions on Monday, April 3, 2023.
  • As of noon today, New Jersey reported 571 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 3 confirmed deaths. For more information, click here.
  • The CDC Community Level for Camden County is LOW. Masks are NOT required at non-clinical locations. Check the Pulse COVID-19 section every week for our current masking requirements (details here).

  • Theme of the Week: Tomorrow, on National Doctors’ Day, we honor our outstanding Cooper physicians for their hard work, professionalism, and commitment to serving and healing others and making Cooper a leading academic health system. To celebrate, Cooper physicians are invited to enjoy breakfast in the Medical Staff Attending Lounge tomorrow from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Residents and fellows are invited to enjoy breakfast in Conference Center, Room 121 from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. For doctors in our ambulatory locations, breakfast will be available at several central locations, including Cherry Hill, Voorhees, Wash Twp and Willingboro.  Please click here for full details.
