What You Should Know This Week:
- This Friday, March 3, is GO BLUE day. All team members are encouraged to join MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper by wearing blue to show their support and raise awareness during National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. To learn more, click here.
- Beginning Monday, March 6, 2023, seating in the Cooper Court Cafeteria will be temporarily limited while work is done to refresh flooring in the dining area. The work will be done during non-business hours and will not affect cafeteria operations.
- Congratulations to Antoinette Spevetz, MD, FCCM, FACP, FCCP, who was recently honored with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education 2023 Parker J. Palmer Courage to Lead Award. - Cooper’s obesity management specialists want to remind you that this Saturday, March 4, is World Obesity Day, to draw attention to the negative effects obesity has on a person’s health, both physically and psychologically. For more information, click here.
- Cooper now provides QR codes in the Hospital Garage and Sheridan Pavilion Garage to help team members and visitors remember where they parked. Click here for more information.
- Starting this month, Cooper will be hosting PAWS for People volunteer training. The training is a two-session course that includes an evaluation of the pet owner and their pet, an introduction to pet therapy, and instructions on best practices for pet therapy visits. - Are you interested in leading one of Cooper’s DEI Team Resource Groups? Click here to learn more or apply today for a leadership role. Groups currently include Black, Latino, Multicultural, and LGBTQ.
- Florida Nursing Diploma Scandal. Prosecutors estimate that more than 7,600 individuals received fake diplomas from three schools in South Florida. No one at Cooper was involved in this scandal. Cooper has measures in place to ensure all team members are properly credentialed. For more information, click here.

COVID Updates:
- As of noon today, New Jersey reported 645 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 8 confirmed deaths. For more information, click here.
- The CDC Community Level for Camden County is MEDIUM. Masks are NOT required at non-clinical locations. Check the Pulse COVID-19 section every week for our current masking requirements (details here).
