- Cooper received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Silver Quality Achievement Award for its commitment to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure. Congratulations to the Cooper Heart Institute Team for their great work. To read more, click here.
- Cooper’s Disaster Medicine, Emergency Department, and Trauma teams will partner with the Camden County HAZMAT team to conduct a full-scale decontamination exercise on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from noon to 4 p.m. Click here for more information.
- Cooper Security will begin locking the Emergency Department sliding ambulance doors and restricting non-EMS personnel from using those doors beginning Monday, July 3, 2023, at 7 a.m. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as continue to improve the safety of our team members, patients, and visitors. - The new academic year brings a renewed focus on the fundamental things we do every day to eliminate preventable harm and support our team members. Throughout July, follow Cooper’s first-ever Focus on Fundamentals campaign on Pulse and Pulse+. The campaign will highlight four fundamental areas of practical skills to learn, re-learn, and share with fellow team members. For more information, click here.
- Visit our Farmers Market at Cooper every Wednesday starting July 12, 2023! The market will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the Hospital Cafeteria to accommodate all shifts. To view the flyer, click here.
Reminders:
- Phishing Alert. We are aware that there have been several text-based phishing attempts – called vishing – at Cooper. To learn more about vishing and how to protect yourself, click here.
- The #everyBODYmoves campaign, a grassroots effort that aims to address immobility harm in the acute hospital and post-acute setting, is coming to Cooper. The campaign begins in our critical care units and trauma floor. Click here to read more.
- Carebridge, Cooper’s employee assistance program, offers several free, online support sessions through the remainder of June 2023. Click here to view the sessions.
- Personal Safety Training. We are offering Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) classes for your safety, which are now on the Cooper Learning Network (CLN). HARP provides a variety of safety training techniques to protect you from workplace violence. Please sign up.
- Mandatory education assignments were sent out and are due September 6, 2023. This year’s training has been revamped to reduce the number of modules and make compliance with the law as efficient and effective as possible.
