What You Should Know This Week:
- Team member gift HAS arrived. Thanks to the very generous support from the Cooper Foundation, our team member gift is here – a stainless-steel Cooper-branded tumbler. Your department leaders will be distributing the gift.
- Phishing Alert. We are aware that there have been several text-based phishing attempts – called vishing – at Cooper. To learn more about vishing and how to protect yourself, click here.
- This week is Health Care Risk Management Week, which highlights the critical role that risk managers play in patient safety, patient care practices, quality assurance, safe work environments, and the prevention of liability issues. - iCooper is coming and training is starting. As a reminder, we are moving to new software that will improve many of our HR, Finance, and Supply Chain functions. Training courses will be coming out soon. Look for emails about iCooper with details about this training and other upcoming deadlines.
- Tomorrow is Scrub Awareness Day when you can learn about Cooper’s scrub program. Stop by the information table outside of the Cooper Court Cafeteria to learn and have a chance to win a prize. Click here to read more.
- The #everyBODYmoves campaign, a grassroots effort that aims to address immobility harm in the acute hospital and post-acute setting, is coming to Cooper. The campaign begins in our critical care units and trauma floor. Click here to read more.

- Throughout June, Carebridge, Cooper’s employee assistance program, is offering several free, online support sessions through the remainder of June 2023? Click here to view the sessions.
- Personal Safety Training Now Available. Your safety and our patients’ safety is a top priority. As part of a number of security measures we are undertaking to keep you safe, we are offering Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) classes, which are now on the Cooper Learning Network (CLN). HARP provides a variety of safety training techniques to protect you from workplace violence. Please sign up.
- Mandatory education assignments were sent out and are due September 6, 2023. This year’s training has been revamped to reduce the number of modules and make compliance with the law as efficient and effective as possible.
