- Educational Opportunity and Discount, part 1. Thinking about nursing school? Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden will host a graduate school recruitment event on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Conference Center, Room CC106. Cooper team members are eligible to receive a generous 30% tuition discount, and Rutgers will waive the application fee and offer instant decisions for anyone attending the event. - Green lights for Fragile X Awareness. Cooper is proud to participate in Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) Awareness Month. We are lighting up green to promote global awareness for FXS, which is one of the most common causes of inherited intellectual disability. - Operation Backpack has returned, and we need your help! With your generous donation, we hope to purchase a backpack along with supplies for every student at KIPP Cooper Norcross Charter Schools. For more information, click here.
Reminders:
- No more paper passes at the hospital. The new visitor passes are stickers that include a photo of the visitor, their full name, and their exact visitation location. This will increase safety and make it easier for our team members to know if visitors are in the right location. To see a picture of the new visitor stickers, click here.
- Nominate a team member today for the 2023 Armed Forces Person of the Year Award. To learn more about the award criteria and how you can submit a nomination, click here. The deadline for nominations is August 31, 2023.

- Cooper’s Disaster Medicine, Emergency Department, and Trauma teams will partner with the Camden County HAZMAT team to conduct a full-scale decontamination exercise on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from noon to 4 p.m. Click here for more information.
- Throughout July, follow Cooper’s first-ever Focus on Fundamentals campaign on Pulse and Pulse+. The campaign will highlight four fundamental areas of practical skills to learn, re-learn, and share with fellow team members. This week’s focus “Stopping the Line”. For more information, click here.
- Mandatory education assignments are due September 6, 2023. This year’s training has been revamped to reduce the number of modules and make compliance with the law as efficient and effective as possible.
