Dear Cooper Team:
We hope everyone is having a healthy and productive week. Thank you for all you do for our patients and each other.

- We want to apologize to the Center for Hospital-Based Services team and the Internal Medicine residency team. A couple of weeks ago , we recognized only the Cooper Heart Institute team for receiving the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® Silver Quality Achievement Award for its commitment to improving outcomes for patients with heart failure. The Hospitalists and the Internal Medicine residency team played a key role in this award. Great work everyone. To read more, click here.
- Camden Cancer Research Center (CCRC) – a $30 million partnership — has launched among Cooper, the Coriell Institute for Medical Research, and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. The CCRC will accelerate cancer research, revolutionize cancer detection and treatment, and most importantly, save lives. To read more about this groundbreaking partnership, click here.

- Help us find new Cooper team members. We are hosting several job fairs for the opening of our new Moorestown campus. - No more paper passes at the hospital as we launch a NEW visitation management system the week of July 17. The new visitor passes will be stickers that include a photo of the visitor, their full name, and their exact visitation location. This will make it easier for our team members, particularly our Security team, to ensure safety across the network. Stay tuned for more information. To see a picture of the new visitor stickers, click here.
- July is UV Safety Month. With summer in full swing, many of us are spending more time outside. Most skin cancers, however, are caused by too much exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light – even on cool and cloudy days. It’s important to protect yourself. For tips on how, click here.
Reminders:
- Cooper’s Disaster Medicine, Emergency Department, and Trauma teams will partner with the Camden County HAZMAT team to conduct a full-scale decontamination exercise on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, from noon to 4 p.m. Click here for more information.
- Project Imagine. To keep you informed and engaged as we embark on this exciting, multi-year journey, we have created a Project Imagine website as your official source of information about Cooper’s Camden expansion. For more information, click here.
- Throughout July, follow Cooper’s first-ever Focus on Fundamentals campaign on Pulse and Pulse+. The campaign will highlight four fundamental areas of practical skills to learn, re-learn, and share with fellow team members. This week’s focus is on communication. For more information, click here.
- The #everyBODYmoves campaign, a grassroots effort that aims to address immobility harm in the acute hospital and post-acute setting, is coming to Cooper. The campaign begins in our critical care units and trauma floor. Click here to read more.
- Personal Safety Training. We are offering Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) classes for your safety, which are available on the Cooper Learning Network (CLN). HARP provides a variety of safety training techniques to protect you from workplace violence. Please sign up.
- Mandatory education assignments are due September 6, 2023. This year’s training has been revamped to reduce the number of modules and make compliance with the law as efficient and effective as possible.
