- Welcome to Our Team Members From Cooper at Cape. This is our first This Week email to include our team members from Cooper at Cape. We are excited to have you as part of the Cooper team. - Epic Training Registration Now Available for the Cooper at Cape Team. If you will be an Epic user and have not received an email with instructions on accessing the Cooper Learning Network or do not see training classes assigned to you, please contact your manager.
- Calling All Climbers and Walkers. The Cooper Climbers Club and the Cooper Walkers Club encourage team members to stay physically active through monthly challenges. Participants can track their daily stair climbs or steps walked at work, home, and elsewhere for a chance to win prizes. Team members at all locations are eligible. - NEW and BLUE. Cooper’s Security Team at Cooper University Hospital in Camden has new uniforms to enhance security visibility and team member comfort. You’ll also see enhanced branding on Security vehicles consistent with the new uniforms. Click here to see.
- Cooper’s Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Program Celebrates 45 Years. Cleft lip, cleft palate, and other craniofacial conditions are among the most common birth defects in the U.S. Every July, Cleft and Craniofacial Awareness and Prevention Month provides an opportunity to appreciate and celebrate the differences in every face and smile. - Congratulations to Bethann Mercanti, DSc, PA-C, DFAAPA, for being named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates – one of only 60 physician assistants nationwide to be honored this year. Fewer than 2% of the entire American Academy of Physician Associates’ membership have earned this distinction.
- Interested in Nursing? Learn About the New BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper TONIGHT. Please join us tonight, July 10, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Cooper Conference Center to learn about the new Thomas Edison State University Accelerated BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper. - Volunteers Needed to Keep Kids Safe. Cooper’s Safe Kids Southern New Jersey coalition is looking for volunteers to help at our community events. Your role will involve sharing valuable information on injury prevention for children. For more information, click here.
Reminders:
- Epic Build Freeze Coming This Fall. One of our top IT priorities this year is implementing Epic and Sunquest Lab platforms for Cooper at Cape, scheduled for October 1, 2024. To ensure a successful and timely implementation, we are instituting a system-wide Epic build freeze from September 1 to October 15, 2024. Click here to learn more.
- Response and Prevention. The Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) program is training team members in assault safety best practices, de-escalation strategies, protect-exit skills, and management of volatile patients and visitors. Register through the Cooper Learning Network (CLN).
