What You Should Know This Week:

  • Time Is Running Out! Nominations for the 2024 Nursing Excellence Awards are due next Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Please help us celebrate our tremendous nursing and patient care teams by submitting your nominations. To review the full nomination packet, click here.
  • Congratulations to John Chovanes, DO, FACS, for receiving the John P. Pryor, MD Distinguished Service Award in Military Casualty Care. The award was presented by Dr. Pryor’s widow in an emotional ceremony at the 37th Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma (EAST) Annual Scientific Assembly. Dr. Chovanes met Dr. Pryor at Ground Zero on 9/11 and was the inspiration for him to enlist in the Army Medical Corps. The award honors EAST members who have distinguished themselves in the field of military casualty care. To read more, click here.
  • Starting Today – New IT System for Setting Up New Team Members. Sailpoint Identity Now will make it easier for managers to obtain user IDs and passwords for new Cooper team members. To learn more, click here.
  • Moorestown Campus Job Fair is scheduled for Monday, January 29, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Moorestown Mall. Spread the word to anyone who may be interested in joining the Cooper team! To learn more, click here.

  • Tax season is upon us. The Payroll Department allows you to receive W-2 forms electronically. For more information, click here.
  • A new badge safety alert system is coming soon and will be installed across the health system throughout the year. For more information, click here.
  • Cooper’s Surgical Services Department is hiring nurses. Apply now for Cooper’s Periop 101 Core Curriculum, the premier education program for RNs entering the perioperative specialty.
