Co-CEO Message – December 1, 2022

Dear Cooper Team:

We hope you are having a safe and productive week, as we move into the holiday season. Thank you for everything you do for our patients, their families, and each other.

What You Should Know This Week:

  • Earlier today, we announced that we signed a Letter of Intent to merge with Cape Regional Health System. This is the first step in lengthy process, which could take more than a year. If completed, this proposed deal will merge Cape Regional into Cooper University Health Care to expand access to specialty health services to the Cape May County region. • In November, a team of Cooper physicians spent a week in Tanzania to provide advanced medical education at Muhimbili Hospital in Dar Es Salaam. The team, led and organized by Nitin Puri, MD, Head of Critical Care Medicine, included Philip Dellinger, MD; Jason Bartock, MD; Adam Green, MD; and Lindsey Glaspey, DO, all members of Cooper’s Division of Critical Care Medicine. Funded by a grant, the team taught Fundamentals of Critical Care Support, a course developed by Dr. Dellinger for the Society of Critical Care Medicine in 1995. To read more, click here.
  • Moorestown Campus Sneak Peek. As you know, construction is underway and the opening of our Moorestown campus is less than a year away. Once complete, it will become Cooper’s largest ambulatory campus. For a sneak peek at the progress being made at the site, watch a short video here.
