Dear Cooper Team:
We hope everyone is having a healthy, safe, and productive week. Thank you for all you do for our patients and each other.
What You Should Know This Week:

Stay in Rhythm.®” Atrial Fibrillation Patient Conference, along with co-spokesperson and basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Dr. Russo also received the Eric N. - Good Read. Cooper’s new Moorestown Campus facility was recently mentioned in an article published by ROI-NJ called, “Perfect build: Cooper’s new facility, which is helping transform the Moorestown Mall, is state-of-the-art and ahead-of-its-time.” Click here to check out the article.
- Cooper became the first in the world to use a new ultrasound-guided technology to diagnose lung cancer. Cooper’s pulmonary experts were the first to use Boston Scientific’s iNodTM Ultrasound Guided Biopsy Needle, in conjunction with robotic bronchoscopy, to potentially lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. Congratulations to our extraordinary pulmonary medicine team on this accomplishment. To read more, click here.
- Cooper is developing a wide-ranging program to enhance care for patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program, funded in part by a $2 million grant from the New Jersey Department of Human Services, will allow us to meet the unique needs of patients with intellectual and development disabilities, and provide a more positive patient experience and better outcomes. - We have seen an increase in cyber criminals attempting to gain access to Cooper’s system. We would like to remind everyone to remain vigilant. With artificial intelligence all the rage, threat actors are using it to craft their attacks – particularly phishing attacks – to make them much more realistic and therefore more effective and harder to mitigate. If you see something that seems suspicious, immediately contact Cooper’s Help Desk and send an email to infosec@cooperhealth.edu.
- Q2 Good Catch Voting begins tomorrow, August 10. Keep an eye out on Pulse and Pulse+ to vote for one of these incredible team members.
- Cooper Surgery Center at Voorhees now offers real-time text message updates to loved ones and caregivers who accompany patients on the day of surgery. Patient companions will be able to receive automatic notifications when the patient enters the prep room, procedure room, and recovery area. For more information, click here.
