Co-CEO Message – April 19, 2023

Dear Cooper Team:

We hope you are having a safe and productive week.

What You Should Know This Week:

  • Yesterday, there was a fire on the roof of the Roberts Pavilion. Fortunately, there were workers on the roof who noticed it and were able to extinguish it quickly. The Camden Fire Department responded as well. While no patients or team members were injured, a few patient rooms were damaged by water and patients had to be moved. We want to take the opportunity to extend our sincere gratitude to the many Cooper team members who responded so quickly to pitch in to safely move and care for patients as well as clean and secure the affected areas and equipment. Your collaborative work with each other was extraordinary. Thank you for your poised professionalism in this situation.
  • Congratulations to Amit R.T. Joshi, MD, FACS, who has been elected to serve as President of the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Joshi on his selection to lead this national organization. To read more, click here.
