When team members identify barriers, we rely on THEIR expertise to help find solutions. Deference to Expertise tells us that the team members doing the work are the experts. By encouraging the reporting of barriers and events, Cooper gains insight into how the work of our team members can change over time.  Sensitivity to Operations is the mindset of continuous improvement that keeps pace with the changing nature of the work we do.

Surveys are an important tool that Cooper uses to tap the expertise of our team members to identify opportunities for improvements in the work that they do. Surveys are a manifestation of Cooper’s commitment to HRO and Sensitivity to Operations. By taking the survey, team members help to make their work safer and more rewarding.
