Effective January 1, 2024, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (BCBSNJ) is administering Cooper’s health benefits plan (which has not changed). If you are enrolled in Cooper’s health plan, you should have received new Horizon identification cards last month.
The new Horizon cards only have the name of the subscriber printed on the card, which is different from our previous plan. Therefore, only your name will be on your spouse or dependents’ card. You can also download additional ID cards online or on the Horizon app.
To confirm your family’s health benefits enrollment status, go to iCooper and click Benefits > Current Benefits tab > Enrolled Dependents.
You should also register your account with Horizon:
- Go to www.horizonblue.com/cooper.
- In the upper right corner, click Sign In.
- Select Register Now, which is directly under the Sign In button.
- Download the Horizon Blue app for easy, on-the-go access by texting GetApp to 422-272 or visiting the Apple® App Store® or Google Play².
This will give you instant access to:
- Ask questions about coverage details.
- Claim information.
- Download additional member ID cards.
If you were enrolled in a 2023 Flex Spending Account and had a remaining balance on December 31, 2023, the maximum of $610 will automatically be carried over into 2024. You have until March 31, 2024, to file claims for 2023. Any 2023 balance remaining after March 31, 2024, will carryover for use in 2024.
