We hope everyone is safe from the destructive storms that went through our area yesterday. Please remain vigilant and safe due to the extensive flooding across our region today due to those storms.
What You Should Know This Week:
- Starting Next Week for Unvaccinated Team Members: The State of New Jersey has mandated that all team members who are not fully vaccinated (two weeks after final shot) must be COVID-19 tested weekly. Details on COVID-19 weekly testing for unvaccinated team members will be sent out in the next few days.
- Reminder: If you were vaccinated anywhere but Cooper, you may be on our list of unvaccinated team members and you will be required to be COVID-19 tested weekly in order to work. Please click here to update our records so you will not have to be tested.
- New: Does Vitamin D prevent respiratory infections, including COVID-19? Cooper employees may be invited to participate in a study through the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University. Participation is completely voluntary. If you think you may have received an invitation but would like it to be resent, feel free to reach out to the study team at CooperD3Study@cooperhealth.edu. - Cooper and Nuance Communications, Inc. are working together to expand Cooper’s deployment of the Nuance® Dragon Ambient eXperience™ (DAX™) ambient clinical intelligence solution to 475 physicians and advanced practice providers. DAX uses AI technology to update a patient’s medical record freeing physicians from their computers to focus on interacting with their patients during their visits. Click here to read more.
- We love to hear patient feedback about their excellent health care experience at Cooper. Kudos to all who are making The Cooper Experience a reality and who received individual recognition from out patients in recent surveys, including Dan, Jennifer, Hanna, and Enia. Click here to read more.

- Topic of the Week: Third dose – Last month, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) gave Emergency Use Authorization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended a third dose of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna) for certain immunocompromised individuals. The additional doses are intended to improve an immunocompromised people’s level of antibodies to provide additional protection against the virus. The FDA and CDC have not recommended a third shot for the general population at this time. If you are an immunocompromised team member, click here to learn how to schedule your third shot. Movie quote: “So you’re telling me there’s a chance.”
We appreciate your ongoing hard work and commitment during these challenging times.
