- Carolann Pilla was my night nurse and she delivered the best most compassionate care after my labor and delivery! I truly felt as if I were in the best hands – she deserves a promotion!! - Cooper trauma and neurosurgery doctors, especially Drs. Mossop, Chovanes, Schreiber, Egodage, Aikins, Nation, Wydo, Baptista SAVED MY SON’S LIFE. I thank them with my whole heart and being for their skill and speed and care and expertise. The trauma nurses, especially Nate and Susie (day 1); Mackenzie, Cody (day 1 night); Day 2: Nicole, Mary Alice (night); Day 3: Nicole, Peter, and Carisa (night); Day 4: Rachel, Liza; Day 5: Jill. I hope I didn’t miss anyone! All were FABULOUS and their care and kindness was BEYOND EXCELLENT for both my son and our family as we went through this traumatic experience. PT: Patrick Knapp, and OT: Amy and Gianna were also fabulous with my son. And a special thank you to technician Morgan who convinced my son to eat a bit more and came by to cheer him up. In addition, the consultations we received with Dr Drake (pediatric neurology) for my son’s care after release and Dr. Gannon (endocrinology) to manage my son’s type 1 diabetes amidst this emergency. In consultation with his CHOP endocrinologist, they were excellent and so helpful. Their guidance, expertise, and heartfelt kindness helped tremendously. The pediatric team of Drs. Ankara and Acevedo and nurses Ashya, Megan, Caitlyn (Catie), Lauren, Kelsey, and Emmalee also did a great job as my son improved and was moved to their care. I may have missed a nurse or doctor – I tried to get everyone’s name. Everyone we Interacted with in the seven days my son was at Cooper was professional, caring, responsive, and excellent. We cannot express in words how grateful we are for the talented and caring team that saved my son’s life. They turned a nightmare into a miracle.
