- The Chief of the Army Medical Corps, Brigadier General Mary V. Krueger, visited our ASSET training program at Cooper on March 16, 2023. Brig. Gen. Krueger met with our team to learn the various efforts of our longstanding civilian-military partnership. To read more, click here.
- Wedding at the Bedside. On March 27, 2023, Chaplain David Bradley and our Cooper team members on P7 orchestrated a beautiful wedding ceremony for one of our patients. - The Cooper Heart Institute earned a prestigious American College of Cardiology re-certification. Cooper is the first health system in the tri-state area to receive this certification for both transcatheter aortic valve replacement and transcatheter edge-to-edge repair. - Project Imagine Kickoff. Last week, we held the kickoff meeting for the expansion of our Camden Campus, called Project Imagine. Click here to see a short video from the kickoff meeting.
- On Monday, April 10, 2023, maintenance work will begin on the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system servicing floors three through nine in Roberts Pavilion. For additional information, click here.
- Cooper team members are invited to the screening of “Peace of Mind,” an ESPN documentary featuring Riley Cote, former hockey professional who played eight seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers. In a fireside chat before the screening, Riley will share his personal story. Following the screening, an expert-led panel will discuss innovative neuromodulation therapies for mental health disorders and pain management. For additional information, click here. - Please save the date for our first-ever LGBTQIA+ mixer on April 27, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., hosted by Cooper’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team. For more information, click here.
Reminders:
- Congratulations again to the recipients of the 2023 Nursing Excellence Awards. To view the results, click here. The winner of the William A. Schwartz Nurse of the Year Award will be announced at the awards reception on May 4, 2023. Stay tuned!
- Renovations to Cooper’s Pulmonary Medicine office in Voorhees began on Monday, March 20, 2023. During the renovation period, the Pulmonary office will be temporarily relocated to Cooper Specialty Center at Cherry Hill. Click here to read more.
- Construction began at Cooper’s Cherry Hill Campus on Route 70 to update the office’s parking lot. The project is expected to be completed by April 21, 2023. During the project, team members and visitors will see signage alerting them about detours and areas where parking is restricted.
COVID-19 Updates:
- Team Member Testing Ends. This week, Governor Phil Murphy signed an executive order lifting COVID-19 testing requirements for health care workers who are not up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations. The order is effective immediately. For more information, click here.
- Visitation Re-opened. We returned to pre-COVID-19 “green” visitation in all inpatient areas last week and all ambulatory areas this week. Click here to read our updated visitation policy or visit the Pulse homepage.
- As of noon today, New Jersey reported 618 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 5 confirmed deaths. For more information, click here.
- The CDC Community Level for Camden County is LOW. Masks are NOT required at non-clinical locations. Check the Pulse COVID-19 section every week for our current masking requirements (details here).
