Co-CEO Message – March 15, 2023

Dear Cooper Team:

We hope everyone is having a safe and productive week. Thank you for all you do for our patients and community.

What You Should Know This Week:  

  • Inpatient Visitation Restrictions Ending. With COVID-19 cases decreasing across our region, we will be returning to pre-COVID-19 “green” visitation in all inpatient areas on Monday, March 20. Click here to read our updated visitation policy or visit the Pulse homepage. Ambulatory locations will end visitation restrictions on Monday, April 3.
  • Sunday, March 19, is Certified Nurses Day. Please join us in recognizing the commitment, expertise, and achievements of Cooper’s outstanding certified nurses, who are experts in their specialty field. Thank you for all that you do to provide high-quality care to our patients every day. To read more, click here.
  • Renovations to Cooper’s Pulmonary Medicine office in Voorhees will begin on Monday, March 20, 2023. During the renovation period, the Pulmonary office will be temporarily relocated to Cooper Specialty Center at Cherry Hill. Click here to read more.
  • On Monday, March 20, construction will begin at Cooper’s Cherry Hill Campus on Route 70 to update the office’s parking lot. The project is expected to be completed by April 21, 2023. During the project, team members and visitors will see signage alerting them about detours and areas where parking is restricted.
  • March is Breath Better, Sleep Better Month. We hope you take the time not only this month, but all year-round, to focus on getting good sleep to help maintain overall health and well-being. To read more about the importance of sleep or how Cooper can help with your sleep issues, click here.
  • In honor of National Puppy Day on March 23 and in connection with Cooper’s PAWS for People program (which you can read about here), we invite all Cooper team members to post a picture of your favorite dog on Pulse+ for the rest of March – and tell us what makes your four-legged friend so special.

Reminders:

  • On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, Cooper will host a blood drive in Conference Center Room 121, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. To register, click here.
  • Are you interested in leading one of Cooper’s DEI Team Resource Groups? Click here to learn more or apply today for a leadership role. Groups currently include Black, Latino, Multicultural, and LGBTQ+.

COVID Updates:

  • As of noon today, New Jersey reported 411 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 7 confirmed deaths. For more information, click here.
  • The CDC Community Level for Camden County is MEDIUM. Masks are NOT required at non-clinical locations. Check the Pulse COVID-19 section every week for our current masking requirements (details here).

For the past four years (2019-2022), Cooper has received Healthgrades Patient Safety Excellence Award putting us in the top 5% of acute care hospitals nationwide due to our teams’ diligence.
