What You Should Know This Week:  

  • Cooper’s heart program, part of Cooper and Inspira Cardiac Care, has once again been recognized as a Blue Distinction® Center for Cardiac Care by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. This designation signifies that Cooper’s heart specialists demonstrate treatment expertise and provide affordable, quality care with better overall patient results. To read more, click here.
  • Cooper emergency medicine physician, Joshua Rempell, MD, MPH, traveled to Ukraine to provide Stop-the-Bleed training. Dr. Rempell recently completed a 14-day educational mission to provide trauma and mass casualty training courses to medical personnel, first responders, and non-clinical members of the community.   • Cooper’s Human Research Protections Program has executed a new agreement with Rowan University to increase the collaborative research between our institutions. Cooper’s research community is encouraged to participate in the training sessions scheduled for January and February for additional information about the agreement and new research policies and processes aimed at streamlining collaborative research endeavors. Reminders:

  • Parking Fee Increase Has Been Delayed until July 1, 2023. Therefore, you will not see a parking increase in your paychecks for a few more months. To read more, click here.
  • Cooper’s Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Medicine and Emergency Preparedness teams will resume hosting Basic Disaster Life Support (BDLS) and Advanced Disaster Life Support (ADLS) courses. For more information, click here.
