- I was so scared. I have had a traumatic experience in the past with a gall bladder removal that left me either paralyzed or violently fighting any time someone tried to touch my stomach. I made the decision to have this procedure for my kids, for my wife, and for me. And the Cooper team supported me all the way. At my pace. Answering questions I had along the way. Being incredibly quick with those responses. My surgeon was so polite. Never demeaning. Helped me verify my choices. Listened like he has spent his whole life refining that skill. And when the day came and I was scared to the point of canceling the whole thing the pre-op staff from the woman who registered me in at 4:40 in the morning to the guy who called out my name and didn’t say anything or look at funny when I started tearing up, to the kind nurse who helped me get ready to the anesthesiologist who was AMAZING and kept me informed and distracted in the best of ways. Her med students were great too. My aftercare was amazing. My team felt very attentive. Y’all made what could have been an absolute nightmare feel like a genuinely pleasant experience. - Kate, the receptionist, is always so kind and welcoming. I’m a little nervous when I go to the doctors, but I feel more at ease after speaking with her. Kristi, the medical assistant, was efficient, professional, and very nice. Dr. Roche was empathetic and kind. I was not rushed.
