What You Should Know This Week:  

  • Open Enrollment is taking place now through November 17, 2021. While this year is a passive enrollment, there are some instances where you may need to take action. Click here to learn more.
  • Cybersecurity is extremely important to Cooper. Last month was Cybersecurity Awareness Month and we sat down and interviewed our experts, Dustin Hufford and Phil Curran, about cybersecurity. We encourage you to watch this important video click here to protect yourself, our patients, and Cooper.
  • ‘Tis the season for holiday scrubs! In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, we are making exceptions to Cooper’s uniform policy. Click here to learn more. Dazzle us with your holiday scrubs and post to Pulse+.
  • Several of our Cooper teams are being honored with national recognition this week, including medical-surgical nurses, patient transport, medical staff services, allied health professionals, compliance professionals, nurse practitioners, and radiology technologists.   • PTO sell back is open from November 15 through November 29, 2021. The November payout will be based on PTO accrued as of the pay period ending November 20, 2021, and payment will be made on Friday, December 3, 2021. Click here to learn more.
  • The deadline for flu 2021 vaccination compliance is December 6, 2021 – please review the information here to ensure you are compliant.  Click here for the schedule. Flu shots are not being offered in the Kelemen tent or booster pop-up clinics, which are exclusively for COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Kudos for MD Anderson at Cooper Read the letter to Dr. Generosa Grana and Dr. Francis Spitz, who lead MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, to express his thanks for the excellent, compassionate care he received at MD Anderson at Cooper. Click here to read his heartfelt letter.
  • Earlier today, the Leapfrog Group released its bi-annual national hospital safety grades.  Cooper’s Fall 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is a C, down from a B in Spring 2021. Cooper missed a B by 0.07 points. To read more of our thoughts on our Leapfrog grade by clicking here.  
  • COVID-19 booster shots: Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J boosters are available in the Kelemen Circle tent, ambulatory offices, and retail locations. Click here for updated locations and times. To schedule your booster shot, visit myCooper. Vaccines and boosters are also available at Camden County College in Blackwood on Tuesdays and Thursdays and can also be scheduled on myCooper.
  • In partnership with the Camden County Coalition, Cooper will host a three-day COVID-19 Pop-up Vaccine Clinic this weekend at the Cherry Hill Mall. Click here for more information about the event.
