What You Should Know This Week:     

  • 2024 Annual Report. Cooper had another exceptional year of growth and accomplishment in 2024. Click here to review our 2024 Annual Report.
  • Otolaryngology Surgical Mission Trip to Pakistan. Cooper Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ENT) extended its expertise globally on a surgical mission to Indus Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. Led by Nadir Ahmad, MD, and Brian Swendseid, MD, and joined by Swar Vimawala, MD, one of Cooper’s chief residents, the team performed more than 30 complex surgeries, mentored local medical staff, and established a partnership with the hospital.   • PTO Sell Back. The Spring 2025 paid time off (PTO) sell-back opportunity for Cooper team members is one month away. Requests must be completed through iCooper Team Member Space between May 27 and June 9, 2025. For more information, click here.   • Cooper Nurses Present at JH-AMP Conference. Earlier this month, Diane Floyd, MSN, RN, CCRN-K, TCRN, NEA-BC, and Joseph Cucinotta, BSN, RN, CCRN-K, virtually presented at the Johns Hopkins 8th Annual Hospital Activity and Mobility Conference, participating in a panel discussion on mobility best practices.   • Fresh, Locally Grown Veggies. Beginning Thursday, June 5, 2025, Rancocas Creek Farm will bring patients and team members in Camden fresh, locally sourced foods through a community-supported agriculture program. The program lasts for the entire summer and is open to 25 Cooper team members on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here to read more.
  • Advance Your Career. Join us on May 7, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for an education fair with representatives from colleges and universities. The event is for Cooper nurses seeking to advance their careers and Cooper team members interested in joining the medical profession.   • Mental Health Fair. Cooper’s Center for Population Health will host a mental health resource fair on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the CCBO Auditorium in Camden. Meet with organizations in your community offering mental and behavioral health services in South Jersey. For more information, click here.
  • Center for LGBTQ+ Fundraiser. Join us at the Collingswood Ballroom on June 11, 2025, at 6 p.m. for a fundraiser for Cooper’s Center for LGBTQ+ Health. To learn more, click here.
  • Flu Season at Cooper Ends. Cooper’s Infection Prevention teams have declared today the end of the 2024/2025 influenza season for our health system. For more information, click here.
  • Patient Experience (PX) Week. This week is a time to honor and celebrate those who exemplify excellence in communication, collaboration, and compassion to create meaningful and positive experiences for our patients. Reminders:

  • Jabber and Webex Messaging Ending. Team members will no longer be able to use messaging through Jabber and Webex, as of today. You will still be able to make calls, however, using Jabber and Webex for a period. Click here for more.
  • Goodbye LifeImage, Hello Medicom. On May 19, 2025, we will be transitioning from LifeImage to Medicom as our new cloud-sharing platform for importing and uploading imaging exams. To ensure a smooth transition, training is required for all current LifeImage users. Click here for more information.
  • Emergency REAL ID Appointments Available for NJ Residents. The May 7 deadline approaching, New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle Commission is offering emergency appointments for REAL IDs… Click here to see if you qualify for the emergency program. Click here for more information about REAL ID.
