Co-CEO Update – December 18, 2024

What You Should Know This Week:

  • Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional’s Radiation Oncology Department Achieves APEx Certification From the American Society for Radiation Oncology. This prestigious accreditation recognizes the department’s commitment to delivering safe, high-quality radiation oncology care. Click here to read more.
  • Cooper Welcomes Optum as New Employee Assistance Program in 2025. Starting January 1, 2025, all Cooper team members will have access to the many benefits of Optum Emotional Wellbeing Solutions. To see what enhancements will be available for you and your eligible dependents, click here.
  • New Year, New Recognition Portal. Beginning February 2025, we will launch a new and improved recognition platform for you to celebrate the achievements of your colleagues. The new recognition portal will replace the current Cooper Rewards Portal, which will close on December 31, 2024. For more information, click here. To suggest a name for the new portal, click here.
  • Important Change: Dialing 911 from Cooper. Starting Monday, December 23, 2024, you will be able to connect to emergency services by directly dialing ‘911.’ Currently, you must dial ‘9-911’ from all Cooper phones. Now, you will reach emergency services if you dial either way. Please note, you should not hang up if you accidentally dial 911 while trying to reach another number. Instead, explain the mistake to the 911 dispatcher and inform Cooper Security.
  • Eat, Think, Create. Cooper’s Latinos Unidos Team Resource Group (TRG) invites you to their 2025 Vision Board Event to help envision goals and activities for the year on January 16, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital, Conference Center Room CC105.
  • Cooper Honors Veterans With a Week of Reflection, Recognition, and Resilience – And New Awards. This past Veterans Day, Cooper’s Section of Military, Diplomatic, and Field Surgical Affairs led a series of impactful events.   • Cooper Doctors: Nominate Your Colleague for SJ Magazine’s 2025 Top Docs for Kids. You can nominate a colleague by entering their name here by 5 p.m. on December 30, 2024. Your medical license number is required to vote.
