- Congratulations to the 2024 Armed Forces Persons of the Year. We are proud to announce that former Hospital Corpsman Jim Baca and former Petty Officer 2nd Class Samantha Millspaugh have been named Cooper’s 2024 Armed Forces Persons of the Year. - Cooper Honored With NJ’s “We Value Our Veterans” Award. At a Veterans Day ceremony held at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial in Holmdel, Cooper was honored with the “We Value Our Veterans” Employer Award by the New Jersey Governor’s Department of Veterans Affairs. This recognition underscores Cooper’s unwavering commitment to veterans’ causes and support of veterans. To read more, click here.
- Open Enrollment. This year’s open enrollment for health benefits for Cooper at Camden team members takes place from November 18 through November 27. Enrollment is passive with no cost increase for Cooper at Camden team members, meaning you do not need to make any changes unless you want to enroll in a flexible spending account (FSA) for 2025. For more information or to see important benefit enhancements for next year, click here. Open enrollment for Cooper at Cape team members is November 12 through November 27. Cooper at Cape team members should refer to the email they received for details.
- ADHD: Solving the Youth Mental Health Crisis. The Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Department invites you to an engaging talk addressing ADHD and the youth mental health crisis on December 6, 2024, from noon to 2 p.m. at Cooper University Hospital, Conference Center Room 103. - PTO Sell Back. The November 2024 paid time off (PTO) sell-back opportunity for Cooper at Camden team members is almost here. Requests must be completed through iCooper Team Member Space between November 25 and December 9, 2024. Payment will be made on Friday, December 13, 2024. For more information, click here. Cooper at Cape team members will receive PTO cash-out communications based on their established schedule.
- Hello, Optum. Beginning January 1, 2025, Cooper will transition to Optum Emotional Wellbeing Solutions for all team members, bringing you a new, modern, flexible employee assistance program (EAP) to support your everyday life. For more information, click here.
- Shuttle Update: Starting Monday, November 18, 2024, the shuttle serving team members for transportation between the CCBO and Camden campus will return to the Kelemen Circle entrance as the Cooper University Hospital stop. For more information, click here.
- We Heart HARP. Cooper’s Hospital Assault Response and Prevention (HARP) program trains team members in assault safety best practices, de-escalation strategies, and management of volatile patients and visitors. Register through the Cooper Learning Network (CLN).
- Free Produce (Yes, Free!) Pop-Up. Cooper Medical School of Rowan University’s chapter of Sharing Excess is hosting a produce pop-up next Tuesday, November 19, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon on the second-floor lobby of the Sheridan Pavilion at Three Cooper Plaza in Camden for both patients and team members. Get free fruits and vegetables while supplies last. Please bring your own bag, if possible.
