Co-CEO Message – June 12, 2024

Dear Cooper Team:

We hope everyone is having a good week. Thank you for all you are doing to care for our patients, community, and each other.

What You Should Know This Week:

  • Don’t Test the Alert Button! Many Cooper team members have already received their personal alarm buttons. Please remember that you do not need to activate them or test them by pressing the button. Press only if you feel you are in an unsafe situation. Cooper Security has responded to nearly 200 false alarms this week.
  • Beware of False Solicitations. Please be advised that Cooper does not give vendors your telephone numbers or email addresses to solicit business from you. If a vendor reaches out to you via email or text claiming to be “Cooper’s account representative” or “working with Cooper” to sell you products or services, know that this is not true. If Cooper is working with a vendor, you will be informed in communications directly from Cooper.
  • Join Us in Celebrating Juneteenth. Recognized nationally on June 19, Juneteenth marks the end of the institution of slavery in the U.S. To view the events Cooper’s African American Empowerment Enterprise TRG is hosting on this historically significant holiday, click here. Additionally, remember to celebrate Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day on Thursday, June 20, 2024. For every iced coffee sold that day, Dunkin’ will donate $1 to the Joy in Childhood Foundation, which brings joy to children at local hospitals, including the Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper.
  • White Noise Channel Now Available on Patient Room TVs. Thanks to the Nursing Night Shift Council, patients now have a more sleep-friendly environment in their hospital rooms. For more information, click here.
  • WIN-NING! Last week, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Cooper celebrated Scrub and Linen Awareness Day.
